topic AC 19, how to get diagonal HSS 3D members in Modeling

<T>Thanks for the earlier answer, Gerald.

I need to build a girder truss; some of the intermediate members are HSS at 45 degrees. How do I creat that kind of steel section - the beam tool allows for changing the plane off of vertical but I cannot use it to get a 3D object that looks like a 4x4 HSS.</T>

Of course you can if you use a complex profile for the beam. Or you can create a complex profile column/beam/wall (you choose) and convert to a morph and spin them any way you need. Or you can create the whole thing with walls in plan and turn to a morph or an object. Or find or make an object(s) that allows for what you need. There are many many ways to accomplish this.

or you can simply use the truss maker tool
