<T>I have drawn a roof using the roof tool in archicad and then used the roof covering from cadimage to create the roof and down pipes etc... when i drew a standard corrugated roof. the elevations showed the roof as normal corrugated vertical hatching but when i change the colour of the roof to model it the lines on the hatching change. how to i change the colour of the roof without changing the hatching of the roof on the elevations?
the picture attached shows the changed hatch lines</T>

Have you changed to a surface (material) which has a fill pattern assigned to it?

Ive made a copy of an existing surface and only changed the colour. The attachment is a copy of corrugated sheet matte

Change the Corrugated vectorial hatching to Empty Fill. It is this fill that is is adding the extra lines. Not necessary when the corrugations are modelled.
