Be very careful about the coordinates you dispaly. They may be 100% accurate but not match the coordinates the Surveyor is using. Is it an angle east of north, west of north, north of horizontal...some times it is tricky to show the same coordinates if your trying to reproduce what was used in another drawing.

<T>I'm looking for a way to automatically label a line or arc with a surveyors metes and bounds description i.e.: N 29-37'-42"E 577.02'. My searches of this forum seem to indicate such a thing has been available but I haven't been able to find one. I'm on V20, Mac. Thanks.</T>

Very good question. I am sorry nobody helped you with this sooner.

Like everything in ArchiCAD there is never only one way to do it.

I use the Angle Dimension Tool to display the Surveyors Coordinates and regular dimensions to display the distance/length of the properly line.

You will want to mute the sound on this video clip. Sorry about that.
Try this should work for what you are asking for
works with metric or imperial , Set your dimensions correctly first
before using.
