Well that is weird I just took a look in 3d at the curtain wall and it is now working.

What I really think Graphisoft should include with the Curtain Wall tool is scale sensitivity the same as Doors and Windows have. It would reduce how much editing you need to do to create 1:5 or 1:10 Details.

I'm using the generic CW components but where we have Details change the Curtain Wall to use detailed Custom components which work at 1:5 scale

<R>I have made some custom CW Cap and Frames but they do not display either in 3d or 2d

Model View Option doesn't seem to influence how Curtain Walls are displayed so I don't think that is the issue.

The Curtain Wall Floor Plan Display when set to "Projected" the Frame and maybe the Cap disappear.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Some progress as I realised the slabs I had used were not set so they were sitting at 0 above FFL.

So now I can only see them in the 2d Window when I select the curtain wall and in the 3d they look rather wacky see image below
When I understand you correctly you want your mounting brackets to look better?
You should make them as a morph and then you can make them thicker and make them look better.

Those are not brackets but they are supposed to be the Mullions and Transomes forming the Curtain Walling.
I think at this moment there is a practical limit to how detailed models can be or should be. With Curtain Wall Frames/Caps this detailed imagine how many polygons you will have when you have a Project with dozens or these Curtain Walls, each with hundreds of frames. It can easily cause the Curtain Walls to have hundreds of thousands of polygons in 3D.
In our practice I normally would not model beyond 1:50 scale, anything more detailed than that usually exist only in details in 2D form.

Fair enough. We are going to use 2d objects in the 1:5 Details and Trace Ref the live 3d Section just means we need to delete the less detailed CW when putting the detail together
