<T>The railing works for me on the flat deck, but not on the stair with Magic Wand. Also, is there a Masters degree available for the Archicad Stair and Railing tools?</T>

The issue here is the Hotspot of the <S></S>Stair<E></E> that the <S></S>Railing<E></E> is associating to.

When you start a stair with a <S></S>Riser<E></E> the initial Hotspot will be a <S></S>Tread Depth<E></E> short of where the railing should be connecting to. If you select both the <S></S>Stair<E></E> and <S></S>Railing<E></E> you will see that their references lines do not run parallel as the <S></S>Stair<E></E> reference lines starts vertical.

When I encounter this I manually move the <S></S>Railing<E></E> node. Sometimes, if your <S></S>Railing<E></E> is associates with a slab at the bottom it will automatically move the <S></S>Railing<E></E> node while staying associated with your stairs starting Hotspot.

I'd be pleased to get a <S></S>Bachelor's of Stair & Railings<E></E>...
A (SRED) <S></S>Stair & Railing Equivalency Diploma<E></E> at the very least.
