Have a look in your Work Environment > Mouse Constraints and Methods.
Try turning off the Horizontal-Vertical lock.
And make sure Horizontal-Vertical to Rotated grid is on.

<T>Is there a way I can stop ArchiCAD from snapping to non-rotated grid.

(I have a rotated grid that is about 1 degree off of the normal setting. My mouse constraints always want to snap to the non-rotated grid so I have to constantly watch to make sure things don't go askew.</T>

Either you use your 'ortogonal grid' or your 'rotated grid'.
When you use your 'rotated grid' you shouldn't use mouse constraints because then you're drawing a staight line occording to your 'orthogonal grid'.

Thanks Barry / Dontknow

Thanks for your advice:

I found the following settings that work (see attached)
