<T>Sometimes AC doesn't behave as expected. I'm using AC18 for this project and have the cut plane at it's default 1150 mm above my current floor. I create a 2072 high opening in a wall. This is well above the cutting plane, isn't it? So why does my standard floor plan NOT show a break at the position of the opening? What I want is to show the head of the opening as a dashed or hidden line at the position of the opening. How can I make this happen automatically? I naively thought that this is what the cutting plane was for.</T>

Change the display of the window/door from 'symbolic' to projected with overhead.

'symbolic' is scripted representation of the 3d element, it doesn't do dashed overhead.

Also check the 'show up to' setting of the floorplan cut plane, to make sure the range includes the window you want to see.
