You can Trace the DWG either in Plan or in another WorkSheet and then place that in your Layout.

I think you mas understood me.

I have my DWG floor plan in the worksheet. Then I can use it to place my archicad objects and they snap to the worksheet DWG.

The thing is that when I place my drawing in the layout space to create my sheet, the worksheet reference is not visible in order to produce the document.

I´ve attached and image to explain myself. (My main purpose because of time issues and because of no 3d required y no to redraw in archicad the floor building structure)

<T>Hi:

I have a floor plan created in autocad where everything is exploded into lines. SO I thought it would be a good idea to create a 2d library element in order to deal with all those lines and have a smaller file size and less slowdowns.

The problem is that the object only has 5 points o recognition (4 corners and 1 in the middle)

Is there any way to have Archicad auto detect all intersections and midpoints in order to snap archicad elements ?

Thanks!</T>

That can already be achieved by not exploding the DWG once you have imported it or by not using the Open command to "import" the DWG in AC.
The correct procedure is:
• Open a new or current AC File
• Create a Worksheet
• in the WS go File->External Content -> Place External Drawing
• After placing select the DWG, crop it to the relevant area you need and use CMD+T (CTR+T Windows) to change its Pen Settings and Edit what Layers you need visible.
• Once you have locate the DWG in the correct place then you can use Trace Reference to snap to its intersections. Since the DWG is not exploded you will not get any extra Layers or cruft from the file

Thanks. I did as you say, but then when I put it in my layout sheet the trace reference worksheet doesn't´t appear visible.

Any settings I´m missing?

"Altamente probable que no estoy entendiendo lo que quieres hacer."

FYI you can draw regular 2D objects in floor plan, nobody will get mad if you do it that way.
