I use beam with custom profil and a strong material value (sorry about my language)
Then I hide the beam layer

<T>What's the easiest (lazy) way of modelling a recessed handrail? Would this entail stacking walls with a profile? Thanks</T>

Hello,

To draw a handrail you have to use the right tool which is called "railing"
To draw a handrail with a specific profil you have to draw it before with the right tool which is called "custom profile"

Can you do this for a wall recess though? Like the image attached

Hello,

OK
To do this you can use morph or beam tool to create something like this :
use solid element operations to subtract the shape from the morph?

Looks great thanks
