I have drawn a roof using the roof tool using the geometry method. im wanting to change some of the roof planes. how do i go about doing this?

You really need to be more specific.
Change pitch, shape, thickness, height????

Sorry, just meant changing shape of the roof. also having a bit of trouble with the cadimage roof coverings as well

Go to the HELP menu and look at the Archicad YouTube channel.
In there you should find a few movies on the multi-plane roof tool.
That should be a good start if you don't want to read the reference manual.
There is a good section in there on editing roofs but I prefer to see it in action rather than read about it.
