If I understand correctly:
I would set the Grid to values so all lines of the pattern fall on the Grid.
Lets say you want a unit size of 60x30 cm and in every second row it is shifted 30 cm. In that case I would create a 30x30 grid so all rows and all segments of the patterns fall on the Grid.

<T>Hi,

I need to create an overlapping grid for pavement design like Running bond

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks</T>
