Well, I can't post a screenshot of the way it should be, because the problem is that I can't get the walls back to that look, but I did a quick photoshop "paint job" so you can imagine what it should look like.

<T>I have a problem with the fills/surfaces in walls. When I open a new drawing, start to draw with example a concrete wall it shows on screen as grey. Then I chose another surface, example a yellow colour, doodle around a bit with the different surfaces.
Then I might be changing floors, from ground floor to basement, and when I go back up again all the surfaces has disappeared, all walls are just plain white.
What is happening and what can I do to keep this from happening?</T>

Can you post at least 2 screenshots that show that differences?

ArchiCAD-Talk lets you post one attachment per post so you will have to create two posts with one attachment image for each.

TriHell:

Since the Fills are missing from all elements, I would look at Model View Options > Override Fill Display, it looks like the fill display has been disabled.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
With the Standard Work Environment: Document > Set Model View > Model View Options... In your screen shot, the current Model View is "02 Byggemelding (plan)".

Thanks for adding the signature.
The fills I used was made by myself by using Options - Element attributes - Building Materials, and they still don't display as I want, but if I chose a favorite wall it shows.
I just wish I could use a colour instead of pattern as this drawing has to show old walls - new walls - teared down walls, in a simple matter.

You should look at the Renovation options, particularly the Renovation Override Styles, in the Help Files see: Views of the Virtual Building > Renovation > Override Styles > Renovation Override Styles. The Renovation Override Styles could also be the source of your original problem.
