If I understand correctly, the update pledges increased durability but at the price of speed, if we are using Mac mini with a spinning disk as BIM Server. Any experience to suggest the results on a Fusion drive (part SSD, part disk) ?

FWIW:
The list of "work arounds" for this problem -
a. buy a new drive,
b. deal with the fact that we're slowing down your process, or
c. don't do the update
are strikingly rude for a hotfix.

This depends on two things:
1. is the BIM Server data small enough to fit on the SSD part of the Fusion Drive? (depending on the exact type 24-128GB)
2. is the BIM Server data being used frequently enough compared to other files so that the OS will store it on the Flash part of the Fusion Drive?
I understand this can come off as rude, but trust me: we wouldn't have done this unless we didn't think of it as absolute necessity. We have seen plenty of GRAPHISOFT customers ending up with damaged BIM Server databases because of power outages, running out of Hard Disk storage or Operating System Updates forcing an OS & BIM Server restart. We believe that our new solution eliminates all these risks. We don't recommend to use an 5400 RPM HDD, as it is the single most important factor for a BIM Server. All operations of the application are highly I/O intensive, which means the BIM Server has to read and write many database files at the same time really fast. Further info here:
