<T>Hi,

I'm learning Archicad using V21. A very handy tool I use daily in Autocad is to stretch (lets call it node A) by the distance specified between points B and C.

I can't seem to achieve this in archicad. Any suggestions?

I've tried moving user origins, and temporary snap tracking, but the node always seems to move exactly to where i do the final "click". To try and explain a different way - I want the node that i am trying to stretch, not to go to where i am clicking, but an arbitrary point specified by the offset between two other points that i click.

Very easy in Autocad and as i said i use it daily. Hopefully its just as easy and I've just missed something obvious.

Cheers for the help!
It is pretty easy.
Place a marquee around the node/s you want to stretch.
Activate stretch by clicking the tool button or CTRL+H.
Click reference point A then reference point B.
Your node/s will stretch by the distance and angle between points A and B.

OR...

Make sure your 'Tracker' is active.
Place the marquee as before but instead of licking points A and B you can click anywhere.
Then you can input the distance and angle in the tracker and press ENTER to move that distance and angle.

You can also stretch the node of a single element by selecting the element, start to drag the node, choose 'stretch' or 'move node' from the pet palette, and use the tracker to give the distance and angle.
I can't edit my post for some reason.
You can stretch multiple elements this way as well so long as they all share the same node that you are stretching.
