I have just tried exactly what you have done with the same floor plane cut settings but all of my windows show still.
I have never really used the floor plane cut settings, because I have never been able to get it to work.

<T>I am trying to change to floor plan cut plane settings & have followed the Eric Bobrow tutorial to the letter following everything he does & cannot get the display to change.
I have checked that I have the same settings as he does but no change!
What am I missing?</T>

I don't know what settings you're using and what you want to achieve.
Maybe a bit of my explaning will help you.

The standard 'Floor Plan Cut Plane Settings' are these:

This means your floor plan will be shown over it's whole height.

If you change it into this you get a real cut plane:

The 'Show up to' and 'Show down to' settings is the range of what is shown on your floor plan.

That fixed it, I had walls & windows set to symbolic.
I have changed to overhead & it works.
Thanks S2art & Dont know
