The feature comparison looks very promising. Looking forward to "add multiple labels to an element", "point clouds" and the overall speed, among all the other listed improvements.

I hope the update of archicad 19 new improvement will bring a software architecture with its projection problem is severe (boolean does not work on 2D plane, gsm object located on several floors do can not be cut in the plane 2d this is serious) you should see the problem in front and adjust I'm tired of circumventing the brobleme

Thanks Graphisoft I like the direction taken with temporary point markers and guide lines as well as the Dimention editing and the surface painter and not to mention backround processing speed as well as all the other improvements.

Then you will be pleased to here that the 1 Label per element limitation is gone and you can attach as many Labels to any element as you wish.
The Labels have been reworked to display specific types of information about elements since now you no longer have to squeeze all kinds of info into one Label.

Yes. These new labels are going to change the way I do many things. They have the potential to make many things that were difficult much easier and reduce the amount of typing out notes for details. They are going to be used in ways no one has thought of yet. The multiple labels for a single object mean you can have one for ID #, one for a note that is off to the side, one that has everything you could ever want to know about the object.... many very cool things for use almost very where in the program. Very nice in 3D documents. I have samples to show but probably should not do that until after authorized to do so.
This should get you all excited for 19. Very good stuff is coming! Don't blow your software budget on other software until you have seen 19. I have no idea, but I expect it to come out about the same time as last year. ? I wish they would tell us so we can plan and budget for the new release better.

it was supposed to be but we are not done Beta Testing. B4 comes out tomorrow, after that is the Release Candidate...I don't think they want us giving sneak peeks yet. I don't want to steel their thunder.

With Tab based navigation do different tabs maintain their own layer and MVO settings, etc.? Or will each tab have its own independent view settings?

The tabs all change to the current layers and MVO of the view you have current.
Just like all your open windows do now.
But the TAB (so long as it is a view from the view map and not the project map) will have a triangular warning symbol on it to say it is not showing with its default settings.
Then a simple double click on the TAB will restore its original settings.

I would have thought this was a good opportunity to sort that out, especially with all the talk of "background processing". Not really an improvement.

I've been studying the feature comparison and this little guy caught my eye "BIMx Hyper-models: Viewable 3D in BIMx for Desktop"
Does anyone have any more information? Are we talking about vr?
Really excited about new features!

Curious to know what you mean by this. what could have been addressed?

The new tabs feature is really nice. Can already feel my brain gratefully sighing that a few less braincells will need to be sacrificed working in AC

Just to clarify:
Single-click on a Tab is like using the Project Map in the Navigator: view is seen with the current layer, MVO, etc. settings
Double-click on a Tab is like using the View Map in the Navigator: view is seen with its stored View Settings
The icon in the Tab matches the Navigator icons
So you can navigate with the Tabs the same way you can navigate with the Navigator

You only can have one floor plan tab open. Many sections, elevations, 3D, drawing sheets, etc, but you can't have .. say floor one and floor 2 open at the same time. You can't have floor 1 framing and floor 1 electrical open at the same time. You always have to have the floor plan open.
