topic exploding lines/fills in Modeling

<T>Hello.
I am currently trying to draw an insulation. What one can see in the picture is the insulation drawn as both line and fill.
My problem is that the insulation ought to fill a distorted contour and a triangle, which nor the line or the fill can now properly do. I would have liked to be able to explode either the line or the fill, to somehow control the insulation in the two shapes.
What can I do?
Thank you.</T>

I've been wondering the same thing lately.
When you use it in a fill it looks like it's aligned towards x and y.
When you use it in a composite it's perfectly aligned.

With composites you have the option (in the Building Material settings) to orient the fill to the 'Project Origin' or the 'Element Origin'.
Or if you are using a symbol fill like Insulation you can 'Fit to Skin' so it will adjust to the skin thickness of your composite.
With fills there is no 'Fit to Skin' option or similar because there are no skins and your fill can be any shape you want.

However you can orient and stretch the hatch by activating the fill handles.
A single handle allows you to rotate the hatch and the double handles allow you to rotate the x & y axis as well as scale them so you can distort the hatch in any direction.

This can be done with any fill - it doesn't have to be a symbol fill.
