You can set a snap interval per distance, but this requires an existing edge to snap to and divide per interval.

Metric/Intervals Snap Without Grid?

<T>Hi,

Just wondering if there is a way to have the wall or line tool snap to set intervals relative to the beginning point without starting on a grid?

For example: if I use the wall tool and click a point anywhere on the screen and move, it would snap to the distances of 100mm-200mm-300mm etc.

Hope that makes sense, hope this exists.

Thanks</T>

If I understand what you mean, you can go to:
View> Grid & Editing plane options> Grids & Background

And there you will see an option that says Snap Grid / Nudge, you change that to what ever you want and activate the snap to snap grid, shown in the small red square and is also in the grid drop down in the standard toolbar.
