I am not sure whether you are talking about Guide Lines (orange) or Snap Guides (light blue) - there have been some nomenclature changes in AC19.

<T>I've never cared for the guide lines tool but I thought I'd try it in 19 it won't do anything for me no guide lines anywhere. I've clicked on the guide lines icon it darkens but no results. I went to the youtube videos but its leaving me clue less. Is something turned off elsewhere in the program
Archicad 19 5005 on iMac 10.10.5. maybe its because I haven't switched to Mac's El Capitain OS Yet. I don't want to since I have to many projects in 17 still</T>

Okay I think I understand now. They made the old tool into two separate tools now that actually work. With Snap guide lines on I can use anything that I want as a guide line and and I can use guide lines to make a other reference lines, circle etc for the snap to use as long as I like until I decide otherwise, similar to the old parallel /perpendicular tool of old before guidelines only better. thanks for letting me know that there is a separate snap tool so that I'd know to look for it.
