No, because then every time you moved the reference plane, you would have to adjust the slab size and edge angle to keep the edge in the same position.
If you want the base material turned up that is possibly the best option. I don’t have AC with me just now, but did you try setting the edge angle with the reference line at the bottom of the slab?

why AC didn't add that option to it. Team should add "hinge" option to "custom edge settings".
1-hinge is at the top.
2-hinge is at the bottom.

Well, you could always try an angle between 0 and 90 deg., but that may be excessive work.

Only angles between 1 & 179 degrees work, but the logic of the angle is compromised by only ever being set from the top face of the slab, so the base of the slab can be larger than the reference outline but not the top. To fix it you would need the slab to accept values of 181 to 359 degrees and avoid 0 & 180 which would try to create an infinite face.

The edge angle is always 'hinged' from the top surface of the slab - regardless of the reference plane position.
If you want to extent the top of the slab then you have to stretch the actual slab itself and then angle the edge.
You could try "Bordi Solaio (RC)" Slab Accessory in the ArchiRadar Website.
Here: <LINK_TEXT text="https://www.archiradar.it/it/oggetti/og ... ssori.html">https://www.archiradar.it/it/oggetti/oggetti-gratuiti-archicad-artlantis/viewcategory/12-accessories-accessori.html</LINK_TEXT>
Unfortunately I've never tried it. But by the description, it could do the trick.
Or GS could modify the behaviour to more logically hinge from the reference plane rather than the top. That shouldn't be too difficult to implement

How often do you change the reference line of a slab after the initial setup when placing? Though, it should probably be independent of that...
