Thanks a lot!

I’ve read it and I think this is used to clone elements. Am I missing something? I’m sorry my English is not that good.

What I actually want to do is to create the same element that I have selected. In Revit it’s called Create similar

Thanks

<R>Hi everybody

In Revit I was very keen of the create similar command, in which after selecting and objet (like o door or a wall) you used CS in order to create the same element (the same specific door / wall). I think is quite similar to the ADDSELECTED command in AutoCAD.

Anyways, is there anything similar to it in archicad?

Thanks in advance </R>

Depends on what you want to create.

Copy/Paste should be the one that works here.
or Drag/Mirror/Rotate a copy is the other option.

Use Eyedropper/Syringe to copy the settings from one object to another or to become the default for the tool you are using.

-----
Maybe the issue here is that you might be trying to fit AC to work as Revit and there are some workflows that are different.

As mentioned, the eyedropper (ALT on Windows OS) will set the default tool settings to match what you ALT click on.
Then you are ready to place an exact copy of that element.

Hi piper 76
Barry's way is right, I want to share a little my own experience with this issue,
If source element have "Element ID" every time you create a new element it will has an ID with "Before Element ID +1" and increase like that.
You need to consider option "Assign New Element ID to Each New Element" check or uncheck (in Work environment).
Hope it's useful.
