That's what I have found out too, alemanda. Splitting it in half will allow a hole. You can't make a hole inside the curtain wall boundaries, but you can subtract any fill shape stretching from outside of the boundaries. It's done in section view. (Please see attachments.)

It is not so neat you probably wanted, but I believe thats the only way without using SEO (Solid Element Operations, which is called Boolean Operations in some localizations, t.ex ITA and FIN, I can guess).

<T>Is there a way to create a real hole inside a curtain wall?
I'd like to have real boundary and real panel quantities, not boolean operation.</T>

I don't have archicad in front of me.
I suppose you tried to create a hole like you do with a slabs and I suppose it didn't work.
So my first idea is to split the cw into two parts, and assign manually the profile typologies and panel types as per your needs.

Thank you.
But I have complex shape with many holes e complex holes with curves.
Take a look at the image attached.
Split in many CW is to much work. But for now is the only solution.
I want to benefit CW quantities options for frames, panel.
This is not only a single solution. I must replicate this problem hundred of times for my client.

Mariosmic
If the picture shows your real situation the easiest solution is to delete the panel at each hole. At the end you will have one cw only. The holes are just missing panels. And that's it.

If you don't have to edit the pattern many time of course you can use slabs and beams. Maybe is the quickest way. I would do this way.

I agree with alemanda.
Use the CW-editor to adjust/delete profiles and remove exces panels.

More difficult with round shapes (as in the first pictures) - as CW 'transforms' these into (large) segments...

Try working with Extract Boundary to Fill and redefine boundary from fill commands. In case of the sloping curtain wall, the holes would have to be ellipses in the fill.

I would probably
1. Rotate the Curtain Wall into an vertical position
2. Do the Boundary Fill subtraction in the Section Viewpoint
3. Rotate the Curtain Wall back to its slanted position
