Agree it was much quicker to get a basic fence set up but see no signs of it here (AC24 Solo UK edition)

<R>There are options to set the post and inner post tops and bottoms of the rail tool either parallel to the slope of the fence, or horizontal.

Where is the option to set the panel horizontal?

Something like this:

With standard panels - not that I can see.
I think they always rake with the railing.

But if you save a wall or a morph as a custom railing panel, then these will not rake.
But they also do not stretch in height or length.
So you have to sett the post spacing to suit your panels.
Heights of posts can be adjusted in EDIT mode.

The attached image is just to give you an idea - I just save a regular brick wall as a custom panel.
Thanks but I ended up just modelling a post and panel then multiplying it.

Don't get why they go to the trouble of adding slope options to post tops and bottoms (which can hardly be seen) and then omit the same options (though more important and useful) on the panels.

All of the fence and railing objects were replaced with the railing tool.
You can still dig them out of the old libraries and use them - you may have to find a few macros as well if they use them.
If you add migration library from AC20 to AC21 you should be able to use the old railing objects.

The USA library has a Fence 24 object, which looks to be exactly what is being requested. I shouldn't have assumed everybody has it; maybe karma for the international library having a few better objects than the USA.

This actually works quite well and is my preferred solution. OK the panels don't stretch but at least you can model the panel with as much or as little detail as needed.
