Nice feature! But this is a spiral guardrail with many segments and if I try to cut it in one location, it cuts it in multiple locations.

<T>I have a very long multi-segment railing that follows ramps and landings. How do I delete a segment in the middle (where I don't want a railing because I now have a low wall) and keep the rest of the railing intact? Selecting the segment and deleting it "omits" it but doesn't give me a gap.

Thanks!</T>

You can use the 'split' tool on the railing.
Other than the split command I don't think there is a way to break a railing into multiple railings.
The only thing I can think of is to copy & paste the railing so you have 2 (or more) and then adjust the end nodes of each one so you get just the pieces you want.
