<T>I am sure there's a switch somewhere, but I've run into the following issues that I believe are "bugs" ...

#1
When editing a library part, the button the previously put scripts in a NEW WINDOW no longer does so... It actually overrides the main window with no buttons to navigate anywhere else in the part... So you have to go back to the WINDOW MENU and choose the part again to get back to the main window..

#2
In the same library part editor, it actually appears that the main part window has OVERRIDDEN the PLAN WINDOW... When I CLOSE the part window, it acts as if I've closed the project (and asks if I want to save changes, etc)...

Any fix? Anyone else experience this?</T>

Duane,
I do not get either behavior. Opening the various scripts for a part in a new window opens a new tab with the desired script. The main part remains open in it's own tab and the plan window remains as well. I can close the individual script tabs separately. If I close the main part tab it will close all script tabs but the plan window remains unaffected.

This behavior seems to be as planned. I am not sure why you are seeing something different.

Great... it's just me...

BTW it's not limited to Library Parts...

Opening a WORKSHEET and closing... attempts to close the project as well..

Lucky me!
There must be a switch somewhere... ugh...
Granted, I can use APPLE-2 to get back to the Floor Plan... just one of those "Why did they change it" moments...

That one looks like a minor error on GS's part. I took a quick look at the Det_Lum part and the A and B parameters are hidden in the parameter table. Looking through the code I would say this is a mistake since the custom size requires those parameters and there is no way to unhide them.

Report it. I'll send you my 2D lumber part if you want.
Where do I report bugs? Didn't there used to be a link in the HELP menu?

I got to Graphisoft US and there's now REPORT page there (that I can see)...

I can just email tech support, I suppose...

There is the "Report a Bug" link near the top of this webpage...
Pretty weak, as it takes you to the "Where to Buy" page
(Like everyone should know to look up their local reseller to report).

Not to be too critical to G.S., but how's about a webpage specific to bug reports?

The silly thing is it is not even a code bug. It's just that the parameters are hidden on the parameter table (the "X" is turned on) and the part was saved that way instead of using a <S></S>hideparameters<E></E> statement to control visibility.

Noty just you. I noted that also. However, the workaround is that the Det_Lumber can be stretched in both directions but doen't show dimensions.

Duane,
Back to your original problem.
Do you have the new TABS feature turned on?
When you open an object and then open the scripts they will all open maximised.
If you have TABS on then you will see new tabs.
If you don't then they will just be maximised windows on screen.
You should be able to undock the script windows and then resize as you want.

Hi,

The bug mentioned by Erich is a library part problem. Thanks for noticing it, GRAPHISOFT will handle it!
Until then please follow this workaround:

Place an object named DET_Lumber 19
Select it then open settings dialog
Set board size to ‘Custom’
OK
with the object still selected
File / Libraries and Objects / Open Object
Parameters - Size – set it to ‘Custom’
Display of variable A and B – now you can remove the X mark that makes them hidden (see attached image unhide parameters.png), then
File - Save as - Save Library Part
The new library part already has A and B parameters editable in the Settings dialog
