Hello 700c,

Is this not a matter of priority of material? And and / or model view? Have you tried to change the priority of the siding and that of the threshold?

<R>When I cut a section through a window in a composite wall, the outside siding material overlaps the window frame at the sill, unlike the frame at the head which protrudes through to the face of the wall. I'm attempting to generically represent a nail-fin type window, which is what I use for 99% of the windows in the houses I design. I've tried every setting I can find to no avail. Anybody know if this is possible?
Hello 700c,

Did you try :
- to extend the threshold?
- to use exterior frames?

I can extend the frame as a sill with a zero degree slope, but only the depth of the casing or more, which makes the frame too deep:
I can also add a bottom casing, but this isn't accurate either.

I just don't understand why the frame is shown on three sides of the window, but not the bottom:
Hi 700c,

Thank you for posting the issue here! This is a very interesting one!

As Christophe mentioned, it would be great if you can share with us the PLA file (that will include all objects used in the project), so that we can have a closer look at what is causing this issue. If confidential information may be included in the file, I can provide you a secure GRAPHISOFT link where you can upload your file to.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Best regards,
Hi Minh,

I (partially) figured this one out: if you open the window object, there is a parameter for lower tolerance that can be changed to 1" that doesn't appear in the object's normal setting box. This clears away the siding I was referencing. However, it's still not a perfect solution for me because the casings stop at the top of the window frame rather than extending to the bottom. I suppose I could model the casings separately instead of using the built-in ones, but this means a lot more time. If there's another parameter that controls that relationship, I haven't been able to find it.
