Ah, that works. Any idea what the point of the "Remove Last Support" option is for given that it clips anything it comes into contact with?

<T>Hi all,

I am wanting the top tread to be supported by the slab, but the stair's bounding box is currently clipping it... There does not seem to be an option to change a single treads structure to be independent of the other treads other than this option but given this clipping, the option seems kind of redundant.

You can EDIT the stair in 3D.
Then select the structure, right click and 'Split Structure'.
Then you can set that top structure to be monolithic while the rest of the stair is cantilevered.

Is this what you are trying to do?

If not then maybe an image will help.
Well, apparently the SOE I had with the stair was subtraction with downward rather than just subtraction... so it was clipping the slab, rather than just the floor covering. Whelp.

Changing it to monolithic works better though as the wall connection is still shown when the support is removed...

I have never had the need to use it, but it looks like it just removes the last cantilever support leaving the tread still there.

I am not sure why because I would end the stair with a riser and the use the upper slab as the top tread/landing.
This may be all you need to do as well?

In plan I was still seeing the concrete structure in the wall when the cantilever was turned of.

I have found that ending with a riser only really works properly when you have a flush riser or you do not have an active riser. If you do it ends up being inside the slab.

There are so many settings for these stairs.
Don't forget you can turn of the floor plan display of the structure of the stair in the MVO or stair settings if not using the MVO.
This way you will just see the treads in plan - which I prefer.
