<T>Hello. I have a custom wall (basement wall furring w/ shelf) that I need to vary the heights of. I would like the studs and shelf to maintain their depth when I change the height of the profile (stretching only the gyp and insulation rather than creating a new profile for every different furring height). I know I've seen a custom profile work like this in other offices, but I cannot seem to replicate it.
Hope that makes sense. (using ArchiCAD 19)</T>

Hi, you just need to put the stretching planes inside the gypsum part, meaning the upper plane move it down and the lower up. And also make the smaller wall size you will ever have, because you can only make it taller but not smaller.

You should be able to select them and drag them in the profile preview window.
If not try turning them off then back on again.
Moving the stretch lines is somewhat tricky. Several options:
- select the line and use shortcut-key (Ctrl+d/Cmd+d) to drag
- directly drag (so click and do NOT release and move the line)

This is different from 'normal' AC behaviour for some reason... - No pet palette option either...

It has been a while since I have had to set up a complex profile - but you are correct.
Much more fussy in later versions.
Just checked version 16 and that wasn't the case back then.
Seems to have changed since version 17 - no idea why though.
Interesting... Looks like a bug then? There is no reason to make this 'difference' in my opinion. Or it should be that AC felt the need to provide some sort of 'half-locking' these lines, so they are not accidentally moved when editing the profile definition...

Interesting, I haven't notice that difference either, I don't use stretching profiles often either.
