Only shows a dividing line when the beam slopes change. The beams will also be adjusted to finish the connections which may not be suitable in this situation.

Just make sure that you change the layer intersection group just in the layer combination used to show that particular plan.
You won't want to do it in layer combinations used for elevations, sections and 3D views.
Otherwise your beams will not trim in those views.

Thanks Barry, I always appreciate your input.

This is a little unorthodox, but in this case, I'm using it for 2x framing, so I want it to never automatically join/ trim with each other or other elements regardless of the view (as if they were actual 2xs). So I created a new layer and went through and changed the intersection group of every layer combination to 0. Kind of a pain, but it will be part of future templates. I also use it for scissor and other custom trusses (trusses generally actually). I draw a complex profile of the truss and then a beam with a length of 1 1/2" (2x). (Under dormers, I have paired scissor trusses where I need to show the line in between). It works out really quite well. I have full control this way without messing around with the truss tool and one place where I can change all of the trusses of a type. Maybe some day I'll mess with the truss tool though <E>😉</E>
You can use the Attribute Manager to modify multiple Layer Combinations at once.
