<T>This message keeps coming up (AC 11) and stops me from doing anything useful for a couple of minutes.

(AC 11 doesn't work hard to get finished with IFC tree synch, CPU = 9.09%)

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

(Normally there is a Cancel button too, but it doesn't work / respond.)
I have timed this

Edit a zone -> IFC sync startet (for reasons unknown to me) -> Archicad busy for 4 min 27 seconds

Edit a zone -> IFC sync startet (for reasons unknown to me) -> Archicad busy for 5 min 59 seconds

Edit a slab -> IFC sync startet (for reasons unknown to me) -> Archicad busy for 4 min 04 seconds

This happened 3 times just yesterday.

What a waste of time. Does anybody know how to stop this from happening?

Attached new screen capture, with Cancel button. The cancel button, but not the dialog box, disappears as soon as it is pressed. But the process is not canceled!!!!

was there ever a solution offered for this? we're having the same issue...the biggest thorn in our side is that we're not at a point where we'd take advantage of the IFC component, we're working in AC11 and our consultants are autocad, so we're not even using it (as of now, i know i know, in the future we'll want it)

BUT. for now, its incredibly frustrating to wait on this "update," is there anyway to shut this off, or should we using a different set of objects, etc...??

it's very frustrating. if you have any of the IFC panes active in your WE profile, IFC is activated in the file. it means that if just one project of the many you could be working on require some kind of IFC collaboration, all of them get it.

i'm working on a 2x2.66GHz dual core with 5GB RAM and my IFC tree synch takes just under a minute. not as long as you guys, but it's all relative: it's still incredibly frustrating to have to just sit back and watch . . .
I know I can disable the IFC add-ons but I want to have the IFC functions but not the extreme delays with synchronization.
Will Graphisoft ever fix this?
