<R>hi all,

I have some questions about topics emerging around the "Building Materials" window:
- Where does the data for the <S></S>Physical Properties<E></E> came/come from?
- Is there a way to disable automatic intersection/merge behavior between walls/slabs with the same material? (see screenshot below)
- What are known use cases where one needs the material classification (IFCMaterial)?

Thanks for any comment or hint!

Florian
Hi Florian good questions but

The first and last question is quite a bit to answer and there is enough information out there. I recommend next time to do a google search first before asking this type of questions here.

1. Answer: https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/user-guide/65686/
2. Answer: just duplicate the material of the bench and apply to the bench top, then AC will not "delete/merge" the lines. Like bench material name - dark wood 1 and bench top - dark wood 2
3. https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/user-guide/65294/

Hope this helps.
