    <description>If you have modelled your parquetry floor with a slab then you either use a building material for that slab that has a parquetry surface material attached to it or you override the top surface of the slab with a parquetry surface material.&lt;BR /&gt;
This applies also if you are using a composite slab that can include a thickness for you under floor heating as well.&lt;BR /&gt;

It is exactly the same as you do for walls and roofs, etc.&lt;BR /&gt;

If your parquetry flooring doesn't extend over the entire building slab then I would be inclined to model it as a separate slab.&lt;BR /&gt;

I can't help with the underfloor heating object.&lt;BR /&gt;
Not sure there is much need for one.&lt;BR /&gt;
I would just nominate the area with a fill in plan and note what it was.&lt;BR /&gt;
It would have to be a pretty large scale detail to see the wiring in section which at that scale you are probably going to be detailing in 2D.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;Does there exist BIM-objects for underfloor heating and parquet?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
For parquet, it seems every tutorial talks about using surfaces, but surfaces are 1 dimensional. Are we supposed to use slabs and then surface them? It doesn't seem like a BIM way to go?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
For underfloor heating, I haven't seen any BIM objects. &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>I want something like this, cause there needs to be enough room for all the zones. Also, piping needs to be described somehow for the builder. There's also a max limit how long the cables can be.       <description>As someone who's done 3D riser diagrams with polygonal Morphs (like a polyline in 3D space) I can recommend that method. Unfortunately, you can't query the length of such Morph with Element Information palette, but you can do some tricks like querying the length of a plain polyline and then adding the risers.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
BIM is more than geometry. You can have a simple slab with Property Objects assigned and ArchiCAD will do surface, volume, quantity or cost calculations for you based on that slab. So, if you know how much linear length of wire or pipe is required per area, you could have ArchiCAD calculate that rough number for you. See Property Objects, there's some learning curve required, but it's not hard.</description>
