Horizontal reveals can be created as a part of a complex profile wall. You'll draw the vertical profile of the wall with the reveals.
Vertical reveals can be created by placing columns with VOID material along the wall and hiding the layer. You can create a complex profile with lots of columns if you prefer, and since AC22 you can add a modifier to tweak the distance between them.
Also, you can create a curtain wall with vertical and horizontal frames and make a solid elements operation between it and your wall.

The way I have done this is to use columns and beams with a custom building material that is very ‘strong’ and has a transparent surface, you can also place these on a layer that is hidden but still interacts with the walls (no need for SEO as using building materials)
Also shouldn't be impossible to create a render setting for this using a displacement map in the surface channel, if it's just needed for renders.

I'd probably stick to a vectorial hatch pattern for my elevations if the 'grooves' are small (which they really should be, unless you want vermin in the cavity behind the panels <E>😉</E>).
