And why I'm using it in AC19?
Was I Lucky to have a Special version or something?
I'm Using AC19 3003 USA Version.

<T>I just tried it.
take a PDF, drop it into a "new" template PLN file for example.
Select the PDF.
then go to "edit">reshape>explode into current view......and watch.

Amazing!
The ENTIRE PDF file becomes linework in a PLN file.
amazing.....helps tremendously when you lost or don't have the original PDF but need something to work off of.......amazing.

Is this only an AC18 feature?</T>

So...the PDF to PLN converter started at AC18?
NOish!.
it worked amazingly well.
one click of a button.....3 seconds later....all PDF lines were linework and text was Archicad text.....very slick.

So long as your PDF was created from a vector based program (like Archicad).
If it was created from a scan of a paper file then you won't have lines and endpoints.
Amazing programming gents!
my hats off to GS programmers on this one.
Very nice.

So...if the PDF was created with "Autocad" then it can be converted to the PLN or the linework.

Nice.....very nice.
Does AC19 continue to have this functionality?

YEAH!! Amazing feature and yes, it works in AC 19.
This is great, I used to work in an office based in others softwares and we reallly wanted something like that, Is unbelievable that nowadays there are advanced architectural softwares that doesn't even import PDF.
But Great that Archicad is ahead in the game.

I was kidding. Ask a silly question and all that. Graphisoft wouldn't take away a feature after they just released it.

Nothing we could not already do with .dwg to .pdf converters that have been around for many years.

http://www.autodwg.com/PDF/

http://anydwg.com/dwg2pdf/

I need this so seldom that I was getting by just fine with the free and/or free demo versions of programs like this for the past 10 years or so.
