Curtain wall Tool Pattern

<T>Hi,

I've started to play with the curtain wall Pattern maker. I'm wondering once you hit apply (applying the pattern) it tiles the pattern along the selected curtain wall. Now the problem is if I want to adjust the pattern its still tiling the pattern and makes making any adjustments to the pattern afterwards really slow. It seems to me that you have to get the pattern 100% right before applying which is a silly linear process. Am I missing something? can you stop it from tiling when you want to make adjustments?</T>

A few screenshots would be helpful so we can see the exact situation you are in.
From this description it is hard for me to see exactly what is going on with that Curtain Wall.

Okay not my video, but when he hits apply, now if I want to go back and adjust the pattern, not apply materials to panels but to change the pattern, its tiled and is slow. Can you turn the tiling off so you can edit the pattern?
No, I don't think you can make the tiling preview disappear while modifying the pattern.
I guess this is becoming an issue the more complex your pattern is and the more times it repeats in the Curtain Wall.
What you could try is go to an Elevation Viewpoint and while in Curtain Wall Edit Mode, zoom in on the size of the pattern so there is not very much tiling to draw for ARCHICAD. That may speed things up.

Hi,

You defined the pattern that you would like to distribute with the pattern contours. If you add extra elements in the pattern box (e.g. frame or panel) it doesn't recognise it as a change to the pattern, but as a change to the entire curtain wall, however, If you change the contour a bit and then change it back, the little Apply button appears again and the pattern can be redefined.

Hopefully this is what you seek.

Bests,
