<T>Any suggestion, how to get poser model (hand) work in boolean operation?
Model itself imported fine to AC and it looks ok, but when I try to cut a part of the wall with it, nothing happens.
Or any idea or another way to make hands' mark in concrete (by modelling it)?</T>

I confirm that a poser/3ds/Archicad object won't do an SEO on a wall.

The Alfaville figures do an SEO and have reasonable hands.
This is a commercial object.... Objects Online, perhaps?

If the poser model is made with the COONS command, which they
often are, then they are a hollow surface and cannot participate
in a SEO. You will have to model your hand with solid elements.
I couldn't get the model filled (putting that SOLID MODEL to the script). I guess you meant that same with your friend's portrait, Dwight

What program makes solid models? AC does (or does it?), but it's not useful in making body parts...

I could get a sort of cut with "cutting with roofs" and rendered the inner side of hand, but there are some problems making the surrounding material and also texture is a bit complicated on hand's surface....maybe it's better to make the whole thing in photoshop.

I'm not a GDL specialist, but maybe there is a way to save your model (or just part of it) as a window and change the code to make it a niche?

Just a thought.
The command is WALLNICHE or CUTFORM. Are these new in ArchiCAD 10?

I'm thinking that our poster needs to replicate a hand with thin slabs to form a contour of the hand - a flapjack hand - and tilt it upward when saving as an object, using the object to SEO the wall.

But good luck getting this amount of definition:

Right - that's what I meant. Save part of the body as a part. Then save the part with a 'wallniche' ID as a window/niche. Then whack it into the wall.

It should have the same geometry as the original part, but I am probably just dreaming that it would work.
