Complex Profile Walls and corner windows

OK Graphisoft why is it that I cannot use the Corner Window option with Complex Walls.
Complex profiles are one of the most useful features in the current ArchCAD and corner windows are an architects dream but the two don't /can't come together.
When are we going to be able to place corner windows onto complex walls?

Tried it out myself in AC 19.
Made a wall with the profile manager and placed in corner window.
No problems here.

Very interesting
I have checked the ref guide and page 1220 says......
Please note:
• Corner Windows cannot be placed in a Profiled Wall.
I have also checked again and cannot place a corner window in a Complex Wall.
I must be missing something.

Thanks for the video.
Now I understand....
There is a specific corner window tool which allows the placement of a corner window with (effectively) one click ... you don't have to place both windows or manipulate the junction unfortunately this doesn't work with complex walls.

Ah, I see.
Also tried a corner window into the complex wall.
Doesn't work with me either.

I agree, it is essential that we be able to use the Corner Window in Complex Profiles.

I use Complex profiles frequently and I frankly don't understand why the two don't function together !

My apologies to Graphisoft......the Corner Window does in fact work with Complex Profiles.

Screenshot is a wall and concrete footing using the Complex Profile and the Corner Window inserted properly in 2D and 3D.

and the wall and footing as a Complex profile.

this is one of several wall types from a project I am working on and because it has several different split levels I found it easier to set the wall and footing together...it is so much easier and quicker than placing the footings seperately

For a module select the walls and windows in plan and then go to FILE menu > External Content > Save Selection as Module.

You will then have to ZIP the MOD file and attach it here or share a link to it via Dropbox or similar.

I can't use the corner window tool to add a corner window into a complex profile wall either.
I wonder what the trick is if there is one.

Sorry mate, when I save it as a Module it saves as a Windows Media file...haven't got a clue what I'm doing !

Anyhow...there wasn't much involved in setting up a corner window.

Are you using the Corner Window tool from the Tool Box, or the Corner Window function from the Settings Dialogue Box ?

...for what it's worth I'm using it from the Toolbox.

I'll try the other way and see if that gives me any problems.

That is fine - it just means you have a program that associated .MOD files with it (i.e. Window Media).
It is still and Archicad MOD file - just means you can't double click it to open it.

I was trying with the corner window tool in the tool box.
With a CP wall it is just places at the end of one wall.
With a standard wall it duplicates around the corner as it should.

to go full circle we really need the corner window tool to work with Complex Walls.
At the moment it doesn't
Unless of course Gareth has really discovered a method.....

I just tried the default 'Custom Wall' Complex Profile from the Wall Dialogue box to make sure I hadn't 'fluked' anything in my own set up.

It also worked ok.

Give it a try and see what happens.

Still no luck for me.
New and reset - custom complex profile wall or any of the other CP wall in the template.
Tried the built-in corner window object and also others from the GS AUS library - all with no luck.
