Thanks, Barry. Using your suggestion, I eventually got it to work out by selecting ends individually. I also had to extend the railing to be longer than the stair at the bottom. Someone needs to write comprehensive documentation on the Railing Tool!

<R>I'm having issues trying to get a handrail end to extend beyond the bottom and top of the stair, not end at the bottom of the stair and top of the stair. The first image shows the segments and nodes turned on.

Have you set an <S></S>End Node Offset<E></E>? I am assuming the reference line for your railing starts and end on your staircase hence without it, that will be where your railing ends.

edit: It would seem that I have not matched the situation. Probably due to most of my railings ending on a flat...

Hi Ling,
No, I haven't set that. End Node Offset is greyed out. How do I make it editable?

Thanks

Your segment end node looks OK - otherwise you would see a node partway up the stair.
It is the toprail end settings you want to play with.
Looks like you have a horizontal offset - this should be zero so the end start at the node.
See attached image.
