<T>In AC 19 I can't find the "Surface Painter" palette. I've got all "Legacy" items unchecked in Project Pref's, and am in the 3D window, but no Surface Painter shows up greyed or otherwise, under either Window>Palettes or Documents>Creative Imaging. Any ideas?</T>

If you are using a custom Work Environment from an older version then you may have to add the command to your menus manually.
Or just chose a standard 19 Work Environment.
Thanks Barry--how do I do that? In Work Environment > Menus > All Commands in Alphabetical Order there's no Surface Painter. It doesn't show up with WEP Standard Profile 19 either.

It is called "Show/Hide Surface Painter" just to make it harder to find.
And its default location is in the WINDOWS > PALETTES menu.

And it will only become active in the 3D window.
In the plan the option will be greyed out.
Try enabling the "Standard" toolbar. (Right-click in the toolbar area.) The surface painter is at the far right end, and looks like a paintbrush with some trailing dots.
