I can confirm the gable offset tool doesn't work at all in 2D but does for 'offset' eave overhang in 3D (also used to work for 'offset' eave overhang in 2D in version 20).

The standard edge stretch works fine in plan for the gables but is not available in the pet palette in 3D.

I also agree that the term 'manual' implies that you can manually set the overhang - so why is the offset locked even in the custom plane settings and why can't it be stretched in 3D?

Maybe I am missing something as I usually convert all my roofs to single planes when they start getting a bit complex (still old school and I prefer how I can manipulate each plane better).

<T>After pulling hair out trying to adjust a gable roof eave in 3D, I realized that if the eave overhang is set to "manual" I cannot adjust the gable overhang in 3d. If I set roof to a "fixed"offset then I am able to adjust it manually. Isn't this backwards?</T>
