This is a lot of talk when you can solve it with a mesh.

You've got two sides of an element that each have three corners.
That's a polygon. You can join these with a mesh. Geez!

If you need both faces - two meshes.

And you can push the bottom and top mesh edges into curves.

This is faster than twice writing on Archicad talk.

See attached example.

Easily with ArchiForma.

But it will not be a wall, it will be an object. SEO for openings.

So you can build it in Sektchhup (can you? Not one plane, but a wall?) and bring it in, too ...

All those choices!!!
Could this be solved with a mesh?

I originally was going to simply do it in SketchUp then export as 3DS..but of course SU doesn't feel like exporting 3DS anymore for me and I can't figure out why...gotta love spending extra money for a specific feature that craps out on you nearly immediately. Im now waiting on another forum to try and get that issue fixed, which would certainly make this quite simple.

If I remember correctly the 3DS export problem, normally occurs in Macs and the way to solve it is to delete all traces of SU and then reinstall it. I think that the main culprit is the stuff that is located in your Application Support/Google folder but clean up the "com.sketchup.prefs" preferences in both your Home folder and the main root folder.
