Hi any idea how to design el.Wire / rope ?

I don't need anything complicated just "Curved" power lines

I have idea just do line by Morph tool but I don't know how to curve it

Try the Cadimage Street Collection from BIMcomponents. There is a power-line object within it.

Does it actually create approximated Catenary curves or just simple arcs?

if its free from cadimage then simple arcs would be my guess

I am not sure if it is a true catenary curve or just a parabola, but it is certainly not a simple arc.

There is even randomness in droop height between the different wires which is nice.

For me was exactly what I want it.

It wasn't important to get real curve but you can regulate - I just set 2500mm.

I wish to have possibility change thickness of cable. I haven't found it yet how

I'm just curious do you other way how to approach it ?

The wire thickness is hard-coded to 3mm in the 3D script.

You can amend the object as the object is not password protected and has no copyright license.

Only thing is, it is in a LCF file - so you will have to extract that container file first so you can access the object on its own.

Then open the object script and look for this value in the 3D script and change it if you want.

Then save the object.

Or if you know a little GDL you can create a parameter and substitute that value for the parameter.

Randomness in droop is simple in gdl. correct arcs are less simple or more lines
