Sorry to say, but there is no easy way to do this in ArchiCAD.

My be you should have a look at ArchiRuler 2 <S></S>http://www.cigraph-store.com<E></E>

There is a new function that allows you to take a fill an lay it over existing fills in, for example, composite walls.

HTH.
Cheers.
Can you let people know more of what you are trying to do?

Have a look through the HELP files / manual this should help a lot and answer a few of your questions.

I can not find your section either, just the image of the fill.

You might consider doing this with a line versus a fill. To create a insulation line is relatively simple. In you composite (other post) you would have to "split" your center part of the composite to allow a line in the middle.

Unfortunately you can't use symbol line types in a composite.
That's right - hopefully this will be changing soon!

In the meantime I suggest using the InsulFib library part in the ArchiCAD Library right over the top of your sections & details. It is very flexible - you can stretch it all over the joint using editable hotspots.

Cheers,
Yea,
I hope so too. Although, as you said, the insul lib. part is great it would be really nice to be able to use our symbol line types in comps.

Cheers.
