topic Curtain Wall not dividing correctly in Modeling

I have created a curtain wall for a glass façade. I have used "number of divisions" setting so that the wall is correctly divided in equal panels, and I have an invisible frame in between the panels of 1 cm.

The vertical division works correctly - the curtain wall tool divides the glass panels in equal measures, taking in consideration the thickness of the frame in between.

However, it goes haywire on the rows - the equal divisions go to the axis, which means the panels in the middle are smaller because of the thickness of the profile.

I don't understand why the discrepancy. If it would make the same effect on both directions I would understand that it is so programmed, but it behaves differently between the X axis and the Y axis.

Does anyone know how I can solve this (without having to manually enter the length of each panel)? Is it some hook I am missing somewhere? I tried every single combination I could think of, but I am at a loss on what to do...

Thank you for your help.
