<R>Hello,
tricky to draw a roof upon these curved beams. They both becomes narrover and lower. I have tried the conoid object, (have to form it with element operations naturally) but the angle does not fit as you can see.

Help!! </R>

Beams all of the same radius or not? If yes, Vaulted roof does the job.

If not (asit seems to be), you can model the roof with the Profiler; draw the cross section of the roof by the bottom of the beams, rotate around the common axis. Wall cutting can be done by SEO.

Altering the conoid parameters can also work nicely.
Look into the Goodies folder under your ArchiCAD folder.

Welcome.
It should be there anyway. Just drag it across.

if you deal usually with this job use this trick put a curved beam from the ac 8.1 library + multiply tool + resize tool proportional with the section diameter = the upper parallel line of a symmetric trapezoidal plan conoid projection
or you can write a gdl object with distribute command
!k = beams number int (a,b)

for n=1 to k
call " curved beam" parameters all except radius ( the proportional radius equal with raport between the 2 extreme
diameter *n / k )
next k

Thanks for tip!
The only way I have found out to draw the roof is to use the mesh tool. In that way I can set and control the height from baseplan up to top of beam+roof thickness. Very timeconsuming though!!
