Thanks Sam!
Even better!
I can´t understand though why they couldn´t mention this in the new features guide in the section about "Enhanced intersections in 3D on Solid
Geometry basis".

<T>Hello!

I have some problem with the new joining behavior of walls in AC10. According to the new features manual (p 16) walls now are only supposed to miter if the actually intersect in 3d. If one wall is higher no miter should occur on the higher part where they don´t have contact.
I can´t get this to work under normal circumstances. The only way is if one of the walls are set to be slanted, even if the angle is straight i.e. 90 deg. I have tried changing the wall priorities but to no avail.
What to do? The old workaround with two walls a different heights feels just ... old.</T>

Andreas,
The secret is that you have to set the "Show on / Link to Stories:" setting to Automatic. This will turn your wall into a multy storey wall but that should not be a problem. I use Automatic as my default wall setting all the time.

Wow! It worked! I didn´t think it could be that simple. I guess I haven´t had time to fool around with the new story settings yet.
Thanks a lot!
If both walls are vertical:
The best way to do it is to draw the lower wall shorter by the the thickness of the taller wall and their reference lines do not touch each other. Only then the 2d representation will look right in situation where both the wall are below cut plane.

IF one of the walls is slanted or profile:
Do as discribed in the above posts.

Again, inconsistencies in AC.......
