Create a complex profile of the wall.
You can then add 'Modifiers' to the top/bottom heights of each skin.
Even for the widths of each skin.
And so much more if you really want to get into it (tiles, skirtings, eaves linings, footings, etc).

<T>I have a coposite internal wall comprising framing and plasterboard lining. I need one lining skin to extend down past the framing to cover the front of a step on which the framing is sitting. I think it can be done but have forgotten how. Any reminders would be appreciated.</T>

Thanks Barry. A pity that it can't be done with composite walls.
TIP: You can create a complex profile easily from the composite to save you re-creating it.
Place a sample of your composite wall and select it.
Then DESIGN menu > Complex Profiles > Capture Profile of Selection.
Add the modifiers and save the complex profile.
Now replace the composite walls with the composite wall.
If the step is formed by a slab and the wall extends past the slab AND the construction lines intersect then building material priorities (pbc) should kick in. Failing that there’s solid Element Operations or just add the missing plasterboard as a piece of wall.
