@Botonis wrote:

The funny thing here is that for the same shells that are in contact, two different elevations (with same view settings.....) give different results.... by adding the contour line...........

Sometimes you will see edges or elements differently depending on the angle of view - espesically if slight curves are involved.

If it is slightly rotated so you are seeing it as an edge (exterior) line, then you will see it.

But if it is not being seen as an external edge, you will not see it as a hard line.

I'm not sure if that makes sense.

@Botonis wrote:

So I turned 90 degrees one of the shells in contact plane and the line dissapeared.

So maybe just rotating this shell has changed the way the edge is viewed.

So. I have this shell that is in touch with another shell.

What you see in the picture are two elevation views place on a layout.

The elevations just have different position on the floor plan.

In the upper elevation the line is not visible.

In the bottom elevation (from the same model!!!!!!) a "magic" line appears.

Struggling with this for a couple of hours just out of curioucity!!!!!!!

It is hard to say what is the reason from just those images.

I assume there are two walls joining?

Can you select the walls in plan and show a close up of the connection?

The strange thing is not the line. This happens often when the alignment is not proper.

The funny thing here is that for the same shells that are in contact, two different elevations (with same view settings.....) give different results.... by adding the contour line...........

Usually at this cases a trick gives the solution, which is not necessery explainable but it is like your are cheating Archicad to give the proper result.

So I turned 90 degrees one of the shells in contact plane and the line dissapeared.
