Super long delays and lag in actions

My Archicad 26 USA has got some problems! I restarted my computer yesterday. Today it's doing what I'm showing in the video. This is becoming more and more common. Annoyingly long delays between keystrokes and mouse clicks and menu choices, etc. If I reboot the machine again, it helps, but that lag and delay are *always* there and within a day or 2, it's back to these lags that are driving me up the wall.

Specs:

Archicad 26 4022 USA Full

Dell 5820 Intel Core i9-10940X CPU @ 3.31Ghz

64 GB Ram

NVIDIA Quadro RTX4000 video card.

1TB SSD main drive (running the program) with 600GB free space

4TB RAID HDD (files storage) with 2.7TB free space

Can anyone give me answers, or at least some advice as to where to start to troubleshoot the problem? Maybe it's Archicad? Maybe it's the hard drives? Maybe it's the memory - or the video card? Or what? This is driving me nuts!

If this is happening only for Archicad and not other apps or windows,I would start from the software checking.

So backup your template and settings and clean the prefrences and registry according to this

Install also the latest update.

Is it possible to test the file on a different machine?

Thank you Botonis. And thank you for that link. I'm clearing out those old files and I'll see if that makes a difference. I still had AC18 (and other versions) files in those folders! Hopefully that will help.
