I am trying to make a beam with a strange end shape.
Even if you look at it in 3D view, it does not become a single beam.

how do you guys use it?
Looking at the odd shape, it doesn't work out on a flat surface.
1. The most important thing is to have an accurate shape on the floor plan.
2. Is it possible to have one beam in 3 dimensions?

In the 3D view, SOE seems to have a problem with ADD as shown in the picture above, but there seems to be no problem with Subtract as in this image.

But in plan view, I want to know how to handle it.

Create a beam with a thickness of 1mm and set it as the end plane. Put this beam in a hidden layer and you are ready to go.

SEO does not show in plan, so you have to fake it with lines and fills.

You can segment a beam and each segment can have a different profile size and shape (although they all share the same axis line).

You can also adjust the profile to taper it and adjust the end angles of each segment.

I am not sure if that will help.

You may just have to tack that angled end piece on as a separate beam.

Just place the end beam at the right position. You might need two, one for each beam. Then put the end beam in a hidden layer.

Adding 2d elements to fix the views is no go with a BIM model which might need updating.

Hello Lee.

That is why I am proposing an extra dummy end beam. You can rotate is end set according to your needs you can even set it inclined and rotated as well.

this will create the end of your main beam.

Maybe you can also create the and with a column that will have the shape you want.
